Montessori Education

Montessori education offers a unique approach to learning that fosters independence, creativity, and a deep love of learning. Developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, this educational philosophy emphasizes hands-on, self-directed learning in a carefully prepared environment. It encourages children to explore at their own pace, make choices, and develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Unlike traditional education, which often follows a one-size-fits-all approach, Montessori classrooms are designed to support the individual needs and interests of each child. The benefits of Montessori education are vast, including the development of a strong sense of responsibility, confidence, and emotional intelligence. It prepares children not only for academic success but for life by nurturing their natural curiosity and fostering a sense of respect and collaboration with others.

At Bear Paw Montessori we offer 2 half-day programs that typically begin in September and conclude in May. Our AM session starts at 9:00 AM and concludes at 11:30 AM. Our PM session begins at 12:30 PM and concludes at 3:00 PM.

We have 4 teachers in each session, including our Montessori Certified head teacher. Each teacher is specific to Montessori areas and activities providing a deeper level of instruction and coaching. Class sizes are capped at 36, teachers will never have more than 9 students at any one time to engage with.

Students are required to be fully potty trained.

Students are enrolled for an optional 4 or 5 days per week with a very limited number of spots open to a 3 day enrollment.
